PARTY!!!

On Saturday we celebrated Ben's birthday with friends and family. I spent the week baking. I made WAY too much food. We had a "dog" theme, in honor of Ben's love of his favorite animals. The party was low key. I made six loaves of bread (which we used for grilled cheese), homemade chicken noodle soup and homemade tomato soup. I started a birthday tradition of having pepperoni rolls--a West Virginia specialty to remember his birth state. We had cupcakes decorated like dogs, cookies in the shapes of dog bones and dogs and enjoyed watching our little boy enjoy his first cupcake. It was a joy to share his special day with those that we love.
